Partial Hospitalization Program “PHP”
The Aerie PHP provides stabilization and treatment within an inclusive therapeutic milieu, and utilizes individual, group, and family therapy, psychiatry, as well as academics and intentional community programming to help participants achieve treatment goals that are identified by the participant with the support of their therapist. Participants attend Aerie’s PHP Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm for an average of three to four weeks. The PHP represents a higher level of care and therefore participants commonly transition to the Aerie IOP when therapeutically ready to step down.

It is important that Aerie PHP participants do not fall too far behind in their academics while receiving the therapeutic support they need. Therefore, participants have an hour of academic time per day facilitated and supported by Support Staff. Additionally, many participants have challenges related to school that makes it critical to develop and practice skills to prepare for a smooth transition back to their previous academic institution. The Aerie Learning Specialist communicates with and works with the student’s home schools to help participants stay on track, catch up, and eventually have a successful re-enrollment.
