Intensive Outpatient Program “IOP”
The Aerie IOP focuses less on stabilization, assessment, individual and family therapy than the PHP offers. The IOP emphasizes group therapy and peer support to assist teens with achieving their transition goals back to “mainstream” environments. Participants have access to therapists but more in terms of “check ins” rather than formal individual therapy. Participants attend Aerie’s IOP for a minimum of three days per week averaging three hours per attendance day from 12pm to 3pm for an average of one to two months.
